It all began with a ring
And it was unobtainable…
While wandering through Ginza, Tokyo, I stumbled into a jewelry boutique and discovered the ring that started it all: a rare, 62-facet Ashoka diamond surrounded by a floating halo of white gold.
It was stunning, unusual, and completely unlike anything I'd seen before. It was also $10,000.
I couldn't stop thinking about it. Surely, I could find my own Ashoka diamond. How hard could it be? Hah.
As it turns out, sourcing extraordinary diamonds isn't quite so simple. To access wholesalers, I needed a business.
So, naturally, I started one, and Facet Theory was born.
What began as a search for one unusual diamond became a passion for unconventional cuts, unexpected designs, and jewelry as individual as the people who wear it.
This ring was my first attempt at recreating my Ashoka diamond dream.
